Setting up 2 Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security to your account with 2FA.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) provides an additional layer of security for your Kindred Clinical account by requiring a verification code when signing in from a new device or browser.

To set up two-factor authentication (2FA):

  1. Go to the Settings page.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Click Set up next to Two-Factor Authentication.
  4. Scan the QR code using an authenticator app on your mobile device.
  5. Enter the verification code generated by the app.
  6. Click Verify and Enable.
  7. Save your backup codes in a secure location. These can be used to access your account if you lose access to your authenticator app or device.
  8. Click I've saved my backup codes, then select Done.

To disable two-factor authentication (2FA):

  1. Go to the Settings page.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Click Disable next to Two-Factor Authentication.
  4. Confirm by selecting Disable.

Note: Two-factor authentication can be enabled or disabled at any time. If you sign in using a backup code, two-factor authentication will be automatically disabled. You'll need to set it up again to continue using 2FA.
