Two-factor authentication (2FA) provides an additional layer of security for your Kindred Clinical account by requiring a verification code when signing in from a new device or browser.
To set up two-factor authentication (2FA):
- Go to the Settings page.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click Set up next to Two-Factor Authentication.
- Scan the QR code using an authenticator app on your mobile device.
- Enter the verification code generated by the app.
- Click Verify and Enable.
- Save your backup codes in a secure location. These can be used to access your account if you lose access to your authenticator app or device.
- Click I've saved my backup codes, then select Done.
To disable two-factor authentication (2FA):
- Go to the Settings page.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click Disable next to Two-Factor Authentication.
- Confirm by selecting Disable.
Note: Two-factor authentication can be enabled or disabled at any time. If you sign in using a backup code, two-factor authentication will be automatically disabled. You'll need to set it up again to continue using 2FA.
